Financial Waiver / Scholarship Policy

Freedom Fighters' Waiver :

Freedom Fighters' direct descendant(s) i.e. children/ grandchildren only will get 100% tuition fee waiver. The concerned committee will validate and justify every single case on real ground. Finally, with the recommendation of the Treasurer and Vice Chancellor, it will be placed before Chairman / Vice Chairman, BoT for kind approval.

Waiver for Physically Challenged Students :

Physically challenged students will get 40% tuition fee waiver on ground of proper justification by the concerned Committee. Finally, with the recommendation of the Treasurer and the Vice Chancellor, it will be placed to the Chairman/Vice Chairman, BoT for kind approval.

Note: For continuation of this facility the minimum required CGPA at any level is 3.00.

Special Waiver for National Level Players/ Artists/ Actors/Journalists etc :

A student belonging to any of the above mentioned categories will get 50% tuition fee waiver. After proper verification and with the recommendation of the Treasurer and the Vice Chancellor, it will be placed before the Chairman/Vice Chairman, BoT for kind approval.

Note: For continuation of this facility the minimum required CGPA at any level is 3.00.

Special Waiver for Ethnic Minority :

Tribal students will get additional 10% tuition fee waiver after proper verification of certificate(s) from the concerned authority.

Result Based Waiver (HSC/Equivalent) :

The result based waiver will be given at the time of admission as per the following rate

  • Students having GPA 4.00 to 4.49 will get tuition fee waiver  30%.
  • Students having GPA 4.50 to 4.74 will get tuition fee waiver 40%
  • Students having GPA 4.75 to 4.99 will get tuition fee waiver  50%.
  • Students having GPA 5.00 both SSC & HSC will get tuition fee waiver  70%.
  • Students having GPA 5.00 in both SSC & HSC/equivalent excluding 4th Subject (i.e. Golden A+) will get tuition fee waiver  80%.

Note: If the CGPA falls below 3.50 in any semester, the waiver facility will be stopped.

Female Students' Waiver :

Female students' waiver @ 5% (Applicable only with General Waiver)

Note: This facility will be discontinued if the CGPA at any level falls below 3.00.

Master's Program (Corporate) Waiver :

  • A group of five (05) students getting admitted together from the same organization/institute will each get corporate tuition fee waiver 20%.
  • A group of ten (10) students getting admitted together from the same organization/institute will each get corporate tuition fee waiver 25%.
  • Students having 2 (two) First Divisions/Classes or at least GPA 4.5 out of 5 in both SSC & HSC; and CGPA 3.5 out of 4 in Graduation & Masters level in public examinations will get tuition fee waiver 25%.
  • Students having 2 (two) First Divisions/ Classes or at least GPA 4.5 out of 5 in both SSC & HSC; and CGPA 3.5 out of 4 in either Graduation or Masters level in public examinations will get tuition fee waiver @20%.

Note: For continuation of this facility the minimum required CGPA at any level is 3.50.

Waiver for ISU Graduates in Master's Programs :

  • Graduates of ISU will get 20% tuition fee waiver in pursuing a Master's program at ISU.
  • ISU Graduates having CGPA 4.00 out of 4 will get 50% tuition fee waiver, if they are admitted into any of its Master's program.

Sibling & Spouse Waiver :

Sibling(s) and spouse will get additional 5% waiver during their joint study life (studying together). If any one of them leaves or completes her/his program earlier, the other will automatically be out of the coverage of this type of waiver. But s/he will be continuing other waivers including semester based tuition fee waiver.

Need Based Waiver :

Poor but meritorious students may get up to 100% waiver. The concerned committee will validate and justify every single case on real ground. Finally, with the recommendation of the Treasurer and the Vice Chancellor, it will be placed before the Chairman/Vice Chairman, BoT for kind approval.
